デジタルカメラによる最初期作品『二子新地』と、代表作『HOME』を結ぶ過渡期に制作された初期作品。2004年当時、著者が暮らしていた梶ヶ谷を起点に、東急田園都市線沿線の住宅地を深夜から未明にかけて撮影し、自作ホームページ上で日々更新していたシリーズ。
2026年、最新のレタッチ技術による再現像を行い、新たな視点で写真をセレクト・編集。初出から20年以上を経て、新作写真冊子として再構成した。あとがきエッセイ『「田園都市」を撮る』収録。

June 2026 [COMITIA 156] New Release / Signed by the Artist
An early work created during the transitional period between the artist’s first digital-camera project, Futako-shinchi, and his best-known series, HOME. Beginning in 2004 from Kajigaya, where the artist was living at the time, the series documents residential neighborhoods along the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, photographed between midnight and dawn and originally presented as an ongoing project on the artist’s personal website.
In 2026, the photographs were newly reprocessed using contemporary editing techniques and reassembled through a fresh selection and edit. More than twenty years after their original publication, the work has been reconfigured as a new photo zine.
Includes the afterword essay, Photographing Den-En Toshi.
