Yamba Dam, whose construction was significantly delayed by strong local opposition and a change of government, continued to be built through 24-hour construction fueled by an ever-expanding budget. Even late at night, the entire dam site was brightly illuminated, with multiple massive cranes slowly transporting materials.
The enormous concrete structure, emerging under artificial light, resembles a science-fiction film diorama, or a portal to another dimension—a world seemingly constructed in secrecy.
